Iran After the Elections
Today I received a call from someone I hadn't heard of for 6 years. He asked if I am thinking of going back to Iran, and tried to show the top tip of a pie in the Iranian sky offering some good job with unimaginable income. And all the time he tried to say: "try to understand what I say, I can't say it on the phone."
Yesterday I attended the conference. Many of those participants were well-known: Karim Lahiji (Human Rights Watch), Simin Behbahani (Iranian poetess), Amir Ashraf Darvishian (Writer and first secretary of PEN IRAN), Ebrahim Nabavi (Satirist in exile), Alireza Nourizadeh (dissident journalist from London), Farah Karimi (Iranian member of Dutch Parliament), and parliament members from Germany, Belgium and France plus EU representatives and some EU parliament members.
